During the mid-2000s Tom worked together with me in my team based in London. He was actively and successfully using social media in recruitment. This was something that was not widely used at the time and it did put another dimension on the search for the right candidate. It was astonishing how he systematically used LinkedIn and other tools to reach out to potential clients and candidates. Some of us were more actively using LinkedIn than others, but no one was leveraging these new tools as systematically as Tom.
